Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The room I stayed in was really old looking and outdated, but I can't speak for the other rooms. The check-in experience was smooth, and the room was huge with a wonderful view, offering great value for money. The bathroom was spacious and faced the historical Padang Merdeka.
Upon entering the room after my own recovery, I found it quite old but very spacious with nice historical photo decorations. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to my standards. The service provided checked me in early, which was fantastic after a long flight. The staff was helpful and friendly despite some minor issues. The location was excellent, being very convenient to reach the city, museums, and shopping areas. The dining experience at Ristorante Beccari was mediocre with limited dish options. Overall, the hotel offers great value for money with a central location and friendly service.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the room I was upgraded to for free was old and a bit dirty, it offered a wonderful view of the Kuching waterfront. Despite the shortcomings, it was quite comfortable. The location proved to be a plus as it was just a short walk to the waterfront, making it convenient to access the city's attractions. The dining options were limited but satisfying with good dishes available and the location close to various eateries. Facilities were decent, providing a satisfactory stay overall.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to various eateries and the waterfront. The rooms are acceptable, spacious, and situated on high floors. However, some noise issues and lack of certain amenities can be bothersome. The dining options are diverse but with certain recommendations to improve. Overall, the location is ideal for exploring the town and its spots of interest.
The hotel is located near various tourist spots in Kuching and offers easy access to shopping complexes. The rooms had maintenance issues like leaky toilets and worn-out carpets, dampening the experience. The dining at Ristorante Beccari was excellent but priced at the normal rate.
When I checked in, there were no towels in the room, and there was a strong, unpleasant odor. Additionally, there was loud noise, possibly from the air conditioning or some other source, but overall the room was decent. However, there was a noticeable smell of smoke coming from the air-conditioning ventilation.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. The rooms, despite having a very strong smoke smell and needing some repairs, were decent and full of nostalgic Sarawak history with pictures hanging on the walls. They were, however, very clean. The service was friendly and helpful overall, although they charged me a tourism tax even though I'm a local. The location was great, near the city center and within walking distance to various attractions, but the cleanliness left something to be desired. The dining experience had limited choices and was somewhat slow, but overall reasonable. While the facilities were satisfactory, some aspects were unnecessary and hidden.
The hotel offers spacious rooms with a living hall and dining hall, but they feel outdated with torn wallpapers and lack of modern amenities like microwaves or a fridge. You can smell smoke from the air-conditioning ventilation, affecting the overall condition. On the bright side, it's ideal for its spacious layout and proximity to tourist spots in a convenient location.
My stay at the hotel had some ups and downs. The accessibility of the room was convenient, but I encountered issues with the air conditioning and mold problem. The window facing a car was not ideal, but the breakfast was good overall.
My stay at Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suite was a mixed experience. The 2-bedroom suite lacked bathtubs, but it did offer 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. The room seemed a bit run-down, and unfortunately, there was no minibar although a microwave was available.
